One of the most famous pieces of literary analysis on Courtly Love is by C.S. Lewis (yes, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe guy). His book was called The Allegory of Love, and even though it was published in 1936, it still contains some really worthwhile discussion and information. If you can’t find the whole book, you can read this summary.
